Grosset Apiana 2019

100% Clare Valley fiano – Only 3,000 bottles produced

Created by combining two fiano clones, this wine appears more alluring with each passing vintage. In 2019, the voluminous aromatics entice and intrigue with dramatic lemon and orange blossom nose before a silky smooth palate that has good weight and admirable viscosity. The finish shows a touch of talc and is crisp, dry and savoury.

A light gold hue; full of poached quinces and pears drizzled with honey, cream and a sprinkling of ginger powder. Lots of texture and phenolics at play with almost a beeswax feel across the palate and fresh acidity to keep everything buoyant. 95 points.
