In 2012 the 20th release of the Grosset Gaia was celebrated with a vertical tasting. All vintages from the very first in 1990 to the current 2009 were tasted. The invitation list was limited to two; Andrew Caillard MW, Fine Wine Principal for Langton’s auction house, and James Halliday, wine writer and author of the Australian Wine Companion. Such a tasting may never occur again, as so few bottles of the older vintages still exist.
