For the past two decades, Grosset Rockwood Riesling, a wine created specifically for Qantas by Grosset, has been served exclusively to those travelling Qantas Business. This delicious drink-now riesling is now available to Grosset members.
Rockwood Riesling is predominantly from the estate-owned Grosset Rockwood Vineyard. This is situated at the north-eastern corner of the Watervale sub-region in the Clare Valley. Here, the soil is brown loam over red-brown shaley rock. In 2001, a section of this vineyard was planted to create a wine for service to Qantas Business travellers. Due to external factors, in November 2020 Grosset Rockwood Riesling becomes available to Grosset members.
While showing lime characters typical of the Watervale sub-region, this wine expresses a greater tendency to citrus and stone fruit minerality with a more rounded palate while remaining relatively crisp with a soft, dry finish.
