Grosset Pinot Noir 2019

This Piccadilly Valley pinot is made in the style that has become quintessentially Grosset pinot. It has restrained aromatics: red berry fruits made more complex by a backdrop of blackberries. The palate is fine, intense and silky with red cherry, black plum and raspberry flavours. The finish is long, gently fleshy with supple tannins that linger.

Stuart Knox, The Real Review, March 2021

Bright, medium ruby colour with some purple tints to the rim. Raspberry, rose petal and sage aromas. The palate shows more savoury than the nose would suggest with cured-meats, loam and dry herb notes showing. Medium-weighted with defined drying tannins. It goes long to finish with good persistence and drive. 94/100 Cellaring -2023–2032

Toni Paterson, Gourmet Traveller Wine, April 2021

Although the name Grosset is synonymous with exceptional riesling, single-vineyard pinot noir is one of the portfolio’s real stars. The fruit is sourced from a south-facing vineyard in the cool Piccadilly Valley in the Adelaide Hills. You’ll find sour cherry, cranberry and mulberry fruit enveloped by a matrix of fine tannins and integrated acidity. Although the fragrance is alluring and flavour delicious, it is the purity, poise and composure of the wine that sets it apart. Tight, refined and a worthy addition to any cellar.  TP
