Grosset Lenswood Chardonnay 2025, Adelaide Hills, AUD $97
This is the first release of a Lenswood chardonnay from Grosset, a running-mate for the evergreen Piccadilly. 200 cases were made, versus 600 of the Piccadilly (AUD $90), which was hot on its heels at 94 points.
Bright, light yellow. Cashewnut, spice and fresh pastry aromas with a subtle trace of toast; notes of custard apple, green apple and kiwifruit, good intensity and drive on the palate with bigger, more powerful flavour than its sibling Piccadilly wine, but still retains the typical Grosset finesse.
