We can’t wait to share our newly renovated cellar door with you. You’ll find it in our beautiful old stone building (formerly home to the old dairy’s butter churn) and includes seating and an audio-visual area with a large screen showing visitors the vineyards and winemaking. There’s also a cellar where, for the first time in 39 years, we’ll open up our stocks of matured wines for members.
Traditionally, 25 percent of Grosset wine is sold through cellar door. It tends to sell out quickly, which is why we have in the past only opened during spring. It’s an exciting time. The devoted call the first weekend of spring ‘Grosset Day’ and have been coming 15 or 16 years straight without missing it.
However, 2019 saw for the first time the opening of cellar door in autumn for six weeks, allowing members to taste our autumn releases plus access the new Members’ Cellar.
A $10 tasting fee applies for non-members. This is fully redeemable with the purchase of wine.
Spring dates and opening times:
Cellar Door opens again on the 31st August 2019 for all of Spring (stocks permitting!) until the end of November 2019. Opening times are 10am to 5pm, Wednesday to Sunday.
We will be open over the October long weekend 2019. Opening times are 10am to 5pm (including Monday 7th).
