Many believe that great wines come from great vineyards. For Grosset, this has meant starting from scratch; choosing four unique sites, planting, nurturing, learning how to make beautiful wine from each. With each vintage, a new set of conditions and challenges is met with a willingness to change. This has never been truer than in 2019 with its exceptionally low yields due to a lack of winter rain.
We believe hand tending and hand harvesting are not enough to ensure sustainability. All Grosset vineyards are ‘A-Grade Organic’ – as accredited by Australian Certified Organic (ACO). The winery is also certified to process organic fruit. However, we go beyond organics to ensure all wines are suitable for vegans and vegetarians.
Jeffrey couldn’t make magic in the bottle without his team. Some have clocked up to 19 years with Grosset Wines. They are a loyal and committed bunch and have collectively accumulated 120 years of vintage experience between them.
