Jeffrey Grosset’s rieslings are regional and varietal benchmarks year in year out, his dry styles coming both from Clare’s defined sub-regions, Polish Hill River and Watervale, which is the source of this glorious Springvale; fine, delicate and the finest of minerally lines. So pure.
The cool growing conditions produced higher than average acidity which, when combined with fully ripened fruit, meant the sort of intense, fine flavours seen in these two brilliant rieslings from Clare winemaker, Jeffrey Grosset. The Watervale wine shows delicate lime-like flavours and minerality…

With impressive intensity from the outset, this carries plenty of floral perfume and lemon/lime citrus, hints of fresh dark-leaf herbs and chalk. The palate’s as neat as a pin, with handsome ripeness delivering fruit into the white-peach and nectarine spectrum. Flavours carry long and true on a handsome acid line. It’s no wonder Jeffrey Grosset rates this vintage so highly.

A classic Grosset without a molecule out of place, singing with a fragrance of white flowers and citrus blossom. It’s poised, pure and lively, lingering with mineral structure and sensational line and length.
