Qantas economy-class passengers will be able to buy a quarter-bottle of riesling next year, as well as the usual chardonnay and semillon sauvignon blanc blends. Jeffrey Grosset will supply an off-dry riesling (with about 28 to 30 grams per litre of residual sweetness) for domestic services. Purchasing manager Claudia Lill says she's excited to be serving Grosset in economy: "I love riesling," she says. "We are doing a small run as a trial. We've had Grosset in first and business classes but this is the first time in economy."
Grosset Semillon Sauvignon Blanc chosen by Qantas for First Class
Grosset Semillon Sauvignon Blanc 2009 will be served in Qantas First Class during December 2009 and January 2010. This follows a string of Grosset wines being chosen by Qantas for service during the last eighteen months, including Piccadilly Chardonnay (also recently selected by British Airways), Polish Hill and Gaia.
