Grosset Polish Hill 2011 achieves highest riesling ranking in Halliday’s Top 100!

In further acknowledgement of the outstanding quality achieved by Grosset Wines from the 2011 vintage, James Halliday has awarded his highest riesling score of 97 points, announced in the Weekend Australian, 19 – 20 November.

97 points
Jeffrey Grosset was one of the first to announce he was thrilled by the quality of his rieslings in 2011. Light straw-green; a gently floral, perfumed bouquet is followed by a palate of great purity, with lime juice, and a hint of tropical fruit; the sheer intensity and extreme length is awesome, the after-palate persisting for what seems an eternity thanks to its core of minerality.

Grosset Wines also features in what James describes as ‘The most unlucky misses’ but both with scores definitely worth mentioning!

-          Semillon Sauvignon Blanc 2011 – 95 points

-          Pinot Noir 2009 – 96 points
